Brenna Joanne Weick from Mantua is Miss New Jersey 2016

Twenty-two-year-old Brenna Joanne Weick, of Mantua, N.J., won the title of Miss New Jersey 2016 Saturday night at the Ocean City Music Pier.

It’s the fourth year Brenna has competed in the pageant, and held the local title as Miss Seashore Line. She advances to the Miss America Pageant held in Atlantic City in September. For talent, she sang “Someone Like You” from the musical Jekyll & Hyde.

First runner up to Miss New Jersey was Miss Central Coast, Olivia Michael, of Tenafly; Second runner up was Miss Avalon, Kaitlyn Shoeffel, of Egg Harbor Township; Third runner up was Miss Monmouth County, Amanda Ross, of Galloway; and fourth runner up was Miss Cape May County, Devon Vanderslice, of Ocean City.

Other finalists included Miss Atlantic Shores, Alyssa Sullivan, of Cape May; Miss Bergen County, Jessica Milne, of New Milford; Miss Southern Counties, Ayla Gentiletti, of Vineland; Miss Cape Shores, Kelcie Klaus, of Berlin Township; Miss Somerset County, Kyra Seeley, of Middlesex and Miss South Jersey, Julia Magill, of West Deptford.

Olivia Michael, first runner-up, enthralled the audience with a rendition of Malaguena. A Bergenfield, N. J. resident, hopes to earn a master's degree in broadcast journalism. The College of New Jersey graduate 's platform is Arts for Everyone.

Cape May resident and Miss Atlantic Shores, Alyssa Sullivan, performed This Is The Moment as her talent. A graduate of Atlantic Cape Community College, her platform was Peer Challenge Commit2Character. She hopes to become an elementary music teacher and continue performing locally.

Miss Cape May Count, Devon Vanderslic, of Ocean City, did a tap dance to a Jackson5's number. A graduate of West Chester University, her platform was Give Life a Second Chance. Hoping to become a multifacceted educator, she plans to earn a master's in education. She was fifth runner-up in the pageant.

Jessica Milne is Miss Bergan County who sang My Man as her talent. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, her platform was LGBTeen Advocacy. Jessica hopes to obtain a bachelor or arts in technical theaterand secure a stage management assignment in a theater company.

Third runner-up Amanda Rae Ross is Miss Monmouth County, whose platform isue was Autism Acceptance - Opening Minds through N euro-Diversity. A student at Stockton University, she hopes to obtain a doctorate Degree of Science in Occupational Therapy. For her talent, Amanda did a Ballet/Lyrical en Pointe to The Voice Within.Pointe

She hopes to continue her education towards a Law School for Entertainment Law. Her talent was a dance routine titled Shut Up and Dance.

She played Rolling Thunder on the piano as her talent. and hpes to obtain a Master's Degree in Marketing towards a senior management position.

Olivia Michael's mother was a huge fan of her daughter, who was first runner-up, and will take over should the newly crowned Miss not be able to contnue.
